The process of demat account opening is similar to a bank account opening. If your Aadhar is linked to your correct phone number, you just have to fill an online application and submit scanned documents. Your account gets activated in 24 hours of applying.

If your Aadhar is not linked to your current phone number (for OTP verification), you may have to follow a paper-based account opening process.

Steps to Open Demat Account with Indira Securities

Fill the Online Account Opening Form.
Provide the OTP sent to your registered mobile number
Upload the mandatory documents
Your demat account details will be sent via email after verification
Documents Required for Demat

Proof of identity (Copy of PAN Card/Voters ID/Passport)
Proof of Address (Copy of Driving License/Voters ID/Passport)
Passport size photographs
Copy of Birth Certificate (in case the applicant is minor)

1. Stock Brokers can accept securities as margin from clients only by way of pledge in the depository system w.e.f. September 1, 2020.
